The Wildling Art Museum is taking advantage of its new larger space to showcase its expanding collection of the art of America's wilderness.  From January 13 to March 21, forty six works of art ranging from large oil paintings to small works on paper will be on displace in the new gallery at 2928 San Marcos Ave in Los Olivos.

The Wildling Museum is offering a three-part series, co-sponsored by the Artists Guild of Santa Ynez Valley, designed to equip artists with the knowledge necessary to successfully submit works to galleries and juried exhibitions. The 100 mile ride is a loop course to Lompoc, Vandenberg, Santa Maria and back through Los Olivos to Solvang with 4950 feet of elevation gain. The 50 mile route is out and back in a loop fashion to Lompoc, the first 23 miles being the same route as the century. 562-690-9693

The Wildling Art Museum will be offering "Art on the Wild Side" craft classes in the Museum's Education Center most Saturday mornings beginning March 13 through the end of October. Beginning at 10:30 am. Each hour-long class will focus on completing one craft and is geared toward ages 6-12 years. (kids under 6 must be accompanied by an adult). The class is limited to 10 and registration is recommended. The fee for each class is $5 or participants can purchase a punch card of 10 classes for $40.

The SYV Master Chorale is please to announce the return of its popular singing fundraiser. The Preliminary Round of Auditions Will be held Saturday, March 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Parish Hall, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 2901 Nojoqui Ave. in Los Olivos. Singers must be 16 years or older to qualify. Audience members are welcome and can purchase a $5.00 ticket at the door.

Contestants can perform a wide variety of musical styles. A piano & portable CD player will be provided. The Wildling Art Museum will be offering an adult workshop "Water Color Without Fear" under the guidance and encouragement of Joni Chancer, and experience teacher who has developed a creative and full-proof to painting with water colors.
